True or False? Will a Name Change Affect You?

This is one of the most asked questions and so I want to devote this newsletter to answering it. It is ABSOLUTELY true that a name change will affect you—and it will affect you either in a negative or positive way. With that said, I should tell you up front as a Master Numerologist I personally do not promote name changes as the norm but there are reasons why to change your name based on an individual basis and application.  You will find most Numerologists will jump at the opportunity to change your name. They will no doubt tell you they can bring you success overnight by virtue of a name change using fortunate numbers which I will dispel later on and why.

What’s Involved With a Name Change

Let’s start at the top so I can cover the variables of what’s involved with a name change. First of all, you may change your birthname many times over in your lifetime, either legally or not—through adoption, marriage, career, spiritual awakening etc., or you may simply not like your birthname.Name changes are serious business and there is only one way to determine if it is in your best interest to change your name and what effect it will have on you if you decide to do so. We will assume for the following exercise that Jane Mary Doe has asked for advice on a name change. She is thinking about changing her birthname due to an upcoming marriage from Jane Mary Doe to Jane Doe-Stanley, dropping her middle name and assuming her future husband’s name. She actually loves her maiden name but her future husband is insisting on her taking his name, so there’s a conflict as to which name Jane should take. Jane’s birthdate is August 26, 1951 which is as important to know as her name.  The Process

First, we must generate Jane’s birth blueprint and compare it to the new blueprint to see what has actually changed, if anything, from her birth chart. To show you how this works, we have generated two partial blueprints shown below that reveal Jane’s Destiny, Soul/Heart’s Desire (emotional), Personality and Purpose so you will be able to see how a name change will affect her.

Jane Mary Doe

Destiny: 23/5
Soul/Heart’s Desire: 2
Personality: 16/7
Purpose: 9
Life Goal: 14/5

Jane Doe-Stanley

Destiny: 23/5
Soul/Heart’s Desire: 7
Personality: 7
Purpose: 5
Life Goal: 1

Jane’s foundational blueprint reveals aggressive and nonaggressive characteristics. Her “2″ Soul/Heart’s Desire is all about partnerships, seeking companionship not leadership and is very sensitive, emotional and diplomatic but nonaggressive. Jane’s “16/7″ Personality is complex representing leadership (1), devotion to family, friends and community (6) and an intellectual educator (7). Jane’s Purpose is to serve mankind as a compassionate humanitarian (9).

In contrast to the above, the new blueprint would bring Jane nonaggressive characteristics only and is not as well balanced as her foundational blueprint. Her “2″ Soul Heart’s Desire would go from wanting to be in a partnership for companionship to more of an independent intellectual seeking knowledge and truth (7) and wanting alone time. Adding a second “7″ to her characteristics (Personality) will make her more serious and a loner as opposed to a more complex and balanced Personality noted above. Jane’s Purpose now empowers a life of action, change, and movement (5) as opposed to serving mankind as a compassionate humanitarian.

In comparing both names to see what name is a better fit for Jane, clearly her foundational blueprint is. In this particular situation, Jane should continue to use her maiden name for legal purposes while being introduced as Mr. & Mrs. Stanley in public only—a win/win for both. If Jane takes her husband’s name, she will have a hard time resonating with that name due to the double 7’s in that blueprint which is a more reserved characteristic and intellectual but a conflict with her foundational blueprint of the sensitive “2.”

With that said, a name reveals the personal characteristics/traits while the birthdate reveals the development. It’s a nine-year process for the new name to resonate 100% with an individual at which time the new blueprint will become dominant and act as an overlay influence to the foundational blueprint. The name change will either enhance the characteristics of your original blueprint or not! In time, under continued use and habit, your “new” influences and patterns, for better or worse, become the path forward for you.

 Here’s What You Should Know

The foundational blueprint generally remains dormant yet active below the surface waiting to reassert itself. But here is the tricky part.  For this to be a smooth transition, the names must be compatible. The name change will either be (1) an identical blueprint; (2) slightly different and compatible or not; or (3) drastically different and not compatible at all. Because this is a mathematical formula where we are exchanging letters for letters with their assigned numbers, the outcome can vary for this reason. In any case, if the names are not compatible, there will be internal power struggles whereby both blueprints, so to speak, vie for dominance and will surely create havoc in your life. Unfortunately, you will not know the chaos is the result of the name change.

Whatever the reason is for a name change, it does in fact have either a negative or positive effect on you.  Your name is the key that gives you access to the design and blueprint of your life. Combining Chaldean Numerology, modern computer technology and mathematics, we are able to decode the secrets that lie hidden within each name and birthdate “inked” on a birth certificate. The brilliance of this process is so simple, yet most people are unaware it even exists.

The Chaldean Alphabet/Formula is shown below so you can visually grasp the concept. The letters are converted  into assigned numbers and then mathematical formulas are applied to reveal what the name and birthdate calculate to be. What makes this formula so magical is that the arrangement of the letters to assigned numbers is based on sound and phonics.

Chaldean Alphabet/Formula

1 =  A, I, J, Q, Y
2 =  B, K, R
3 =  C, G, L, S
4 =  D, M, T
5 =  E, H, N, X
6 =  U, V, W
7 =  O, Z
8 =  F, P

Your name at birth defines your “true” calling since it is your foundational design and blueprint, no matter how many times you choose to change it.  Normally, the “names” that you want to be called are sounds that you feel comfortable with. When you resent or hate your birthname, it is indicative of rebellion against the particular blueprint outlined for you. You’re unconsciously rebelling against the unfolding vibrational patterns between you and your higher self, and at some level decided not to honor that contract.  Therefore, for whatever reason you “change” your name, you change your personal characteristics/traits that alter the behavioral patterns.

The information presented in this newsletter is, of course, simplified so that you get an idea that changing your name is not as simple as most people would like to think. The ramifications of the name change can create even bigger problems for you.

To top this off, there are many practitioners who claim they can change your name to give you more fortunate numbers, thereby making you more successful. If this were true, we would all be changing our names on a regular basis. It is not the name that gives you the power to make a change but rather the choices you make.  Most people are trapped in decisions they have already made and it’s a matter of time before they are freed to move forward.  Changing the name would only make matters worse. Don’t forget that it takes nine years for the new name to resonate 100%, provided the names are compatible.

If you are interested in changing your name, my best advice is to test the compatibility of the names first before making your final decision—consider this to be an  investment in yourself. If you are not willing to make that investment, then you are virtually playing “pin the tail on the donkey” blindfolded. The only problem with using “Numerology” is you need to make sure that you have chosen the “right” practitioner using the “right” number system who knows the “right” rules of the game.
